Terms of use
Last updated: 12 October 2026
By using Naecom CarScan you agree to these terms. The app is published by Marcin Weryk, trading as Naecom (Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland, United Kingdom).
A guide, not a diagnosis
Fault code descriptions, severity ratings, inspection notes and any other information in the app are general guides and rough estimates. They are not professional advice and not a substitute for inspection by a qualified mechanic. Do not rely on the app to decide whether a car is safe to drive.
Drive safely and legally
- Never operate the app, or fit or adjust an adapter, while driving. Set things up while parked, or ask a passenger.
- The Launch Timer is for private land or a track only. It is not a certified timing device. Always obey speed limits and the law.
- Clearing fault codes removes warning information from your car's computer. Make sure you understand the fault first.
Use at your own risk
The app is provided "as is". Readings may be missing or inaccurate, and not every car or adapter is supported. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including from actions taken on your car. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Your data
See the privacy policy. In short, your data stays on your phone.
Changes and governing law
